Can you get a couch out of a basement or down narrow stairs?
Yes. Tight stairways and narrow doorways are a normal part of the job in older homes. We protect walls and door frames, and when a piece won't fit, we remove the legs or take it apart before carrying it out. Just clear any fragile items from the path.
What happens to furniture that's still in good shape?
We haul it like any other item. Good pieces, worn pieces and broken ones all go on the truck and to the transfer station or a licensed disposal facility. If you'd like to give something away yourself, set it aside before we arrive and we work around it.
Do you take sleeper sofas and sectionals?
Yes. Sleeper sofas, sectionals, recliners and heavy dressers are everyday jobs. We separate sectionals at the joins when that makes the carry easier, and we protect door frames and walls on the way out. A sectional usually takes more truck space than a single sofa.
Can you take furniture apart to get it out?
Yes, when that's the safest way out. We remove legs, separate sectional pieces and take apart bed frames and bunk beds with hand tools. Built-in furniture fixed to walls is a different job, so mention it when you book and send us a photo first.
