Whole House Cleanouts questions
How long does a whole house cleanout take?
It depends on the size of the house and how full it is. A small apartment can take a few hours, while a full house with a basement and garage can take a full day or more. You get a time estimate along with the price before we start.
What if some furniture is staying in the house?
Mark it with tape or tell the crew, and it stays. We take only what you point out and work around everything else. If you're unsure about a piece on the day, we leave it in place so you can decide later without holding up the rest of the job.
Do you clear houses for a move or downsizing?
Yes. When you move or downsize, we take everything that isn't going with you, from furniture and appliances to boxes in the basement and attic. Book us for the days after the movers leave, and we leave the rooms empty and swept for the next owners.
Do the utilities need to be on for a whole house cleanout?
No, but power makes the job easier, especially in basements and attics, so tell us if it's off and we plan for it. Water isn't needed. Let us know about locked rooms, lockboxes or alarm codes ahead of time, so the crew can get in and start on the day.
